Meta thrives because of Narcissim and Narcissistic nature of human beings. The term originates from the Greek myth of Narcissus, who fell in love with his own reflection. A narcissist is a person characterized by an exaggerated sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others' feelings. Though humans generally display narcissistic traits, a narcissist consistently shows these traits, often at the expense of others. Narcissistic behaviour may even impact personal and social relationships.
